Nomination of Mindy Meyer for President by Allison Fagan
Motion for President to close nominations if only one nominee and that Mindy Meyer be elected as President of Big Walnut Local School Board of Education for 2016.

Motion for Vice President to close nominations if only one nominee and that Andy Wecker be elected as Vice President of the Big Walnut Local School Board of Education for 2016.

Administration of Oath to Newly Elected Officers
Ms. Terri Eyerman Day, Treasurer, administers the oath of office to the newly elected President and Vice President of the Board of Education.
The newly elected President will now preside.

15-152 Date, Time, and Location of Regular Meetings in 2016
It is recommended the Board designate the third Thursday of each month of 2016 as the regular meeting date of the Big Walnut Board of Education. Meetings will be at 6:30 P.M. in the media center at Big Walnut High School.

Board questions:
- How does change impact November during the OSBA Capital Conference? Moving to the third Thursday actually eliminates the conflict.
- Once the new Central Office opens and the decision is made to hold board meetings there, how does that effect us? Mrs. Meyer will check with OSBA to see if that will make all future meetings after change "special meetings". If that is the case, board may opt to continue the remaining meetings for 2016 at the existing site - Big Walnut High School media center.

Board Action Items

It is recommended the Board approve, per ORC 3315.15, that the Big Walnut Board of Education may establish a service fund not to exceed $2.00 per child enrolled in the district, or $20,000.00, whichever is greater, to pay for the expenses actually incurred by board members in the performance of their duties. Recommend establishment of the Board Service Fund in the amount of $6,500.00.

- Ms. Day explained that the Board votes on this item every year - last year was a lower amount. She opted to round it up to an even amount for budgeting. Mrs. Pollock mentioned that the Board seldom uses the amount approved.
