  • Mrs. Foust announced that the Junior class raised over $700 to help families over the holidays - the won the contest. The play went very well; students are excited for the musical audition for Annie. Students are brainstorming how the school can accomodate all extra people in extra spaces. Exams begin tomorrow. Everyone is looking forward to winter sports.Scheduling for next year begins soon. Band and choir had a great time in Disney.
  • Dr. Fagain congratulated the middle and high school music on their holiday concerts. Many schools take different approaches to the programs, she is proud that the emphasis at BW is on inclusion. Some excel and are supported and encouraged but no audition process to get into choir. This is something to be proud of because music is important. The trip to Disney was a great experience for the kids.
  • Mr. Wecker also spoke how great the middle school concert was. A good number of students were also athletes. He heard comments from parents a great thing about BW is that it is cool to be in music here. There is a great mix of kids that support each other in the program.
  • Mr. Schneider stated he was happy to hear yesterday that Rep. Brenner proposed a different method of funding. Hopefully this will open the discussion to explore a different approach. He encourages this discussion and looks forward to more discussion that includes public and private entities.
  • Mrs. Hess is so happy that Jersey Mikes is open. You can take the cards there and donate $2 donation there and recive a sub - all money goes to the athletic boosters. He commended Ron's group that they could take a school bus and turn it into a salt spreader.
  • Mrs. Meyer was invited to  talk at United Way of Delaware County. They have a grant for preschoolers to be involved with Dolly Parton's Imagination Library. She also talked to them about Tiffany's Bountiful Backpack - Tiffany has storage issues, Hunger Alliance can purchase food at 1/7th of the cost - a Church has offered to store the food for her. She got Tiffany connected with them to help her with her project and expand it as well as be involved on the committee to support.
